Our couple, Rain and Ellysetta, do not known each other at the beginning, as they are on different sides of the continent. When Ellysetta is attacked by a man, she calls out for someone to save her. That someone ends up by Rain Tarien Soul, her truemate. Rain held out no hope that he would ever have a true mate but when he feels her emotions and her plea, he immediately plans to find and protect her.

Rain comes up with a reason to head toward Celierian, the location of his truemate. Celierian welcomes the Fey warriors and their King. Ellysetta is both excited and reluctant to go to the march, but agrees to accompany her sisters. Imagine Ellysetta’s surprise to see a flying Tarien soul, a large winged feline, soaring over the city. When the crowds get too rough, Ellysetta is pushed to the ground and her hand broken…and her pain leads Rain exactly to her.

Let’s say that in his excitement and exuberance to meet his truemate, he ends up slightly scaring her. He declares too everyone in attendance that Ellysetta, a peasant daughter of a wood carver, is his truemate. Meaning, that Ellysetta has become the Queen of the Fey.

The claim is one-sided but true. Ellysetta must open her soul, and trust in Rain before the claim is complete and they become one. To prove himself, Rain provides gifts, meets her family, and works to build up her confidence.

Among all the romance and the cute moments, Rain must also navigate Celierian politics, the growing darkness, the impeding threat of the Eld, and build his relationship with Ellysetta.

The mystery / problem that arises with the growing nightmares / visions that Ellysetta has of a shadow man and his desire to find her. I think that Ellysetta may not be a normal fey. She has an enormous destiny that will play out.

I cannot wait to see how Ellysetta and Rain build their relationship, how they navigate the world together, what will happen with the Eld, and what kind of powers / destiny will Ellysetta have.

*There are a few sexual scenes, spiritual sex scenes, party that turns to sexual frenzy

I definitely feel that the cover is not the best. It has a tacky, old-fantasy cover feel. However, do not let the cover fool you…this book is amazingly well written and the characters really connect with each other. I definitely love the inclusion of the panther on the front and the flying panther on the back cover.

You have been swarmed. Reading past this post means that you understand that you might spoil the book for yourself.

Rain is protective of Ellysetta, tallying up to 7 moments.

The fey are known for abilities, and one is the ability of telepathy. There about 37 separate telepathic moments.

Ellysetta is overcome with 3 dreams (visions).

Rain and Ellysetta are starting to grow attracted to each other, and shared 11 kisses.
